Q: When do we start recorders?
A: We learn recorders in 4th Grade. This year, recorders will start in music class on November 2. You will receive a letter with more details soon!
Q: What is Recorder Club?
A: Recorder Club is an extracurricular music group that meets before school once a week. Students in 4th and 5th grade who want more experience playing the recorder are welcome to join. Students in 5th grade may even elect to play the alto recorder! Recorder Club performs at the Stafford County Fine Arts Festival.
Q: What is Musical Hornets?
A: Musical Hornets is an extracurricular music group that meets before school once a week. Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade are welcome to join Musical Hornets. In this group, students sing, play xylophones, and play percussion instruments. Musical Hornets performs at the Stafford County Fine Arts Festival. If you want to join, ask Miss Tourot for a permission slip, and return it by October 30.

Class Announcements 4th Grade Program Date ChangeThe Fourth Grade Program has been moved from October 20 to October 27. It starts at 7:00 pm, and students must report to their classrooms by 6:45. See you on the 27th!
Recorder Club and Musical HornetsMusical Hornets will be held on Monday mornings from 7:45 - 8:30 starting November 9. Permission slips for this group will be available from Ms. Tourot starting October 5, and must be turned in by October 30.
